 Top 5 Must-Watch Anime of Winter 2024

It's the anime storm of January to March 2024, a melting pot of continents when it comes to fan emotion. This season has been a thrill ride in every sense with highly anticipated sequels, some surprising new titles, and a few unexpected letdowns. It excited and bewildered fans alike, leaving them elated at the return of some of their favorite shows while totally oblivious to the other gems emerging from the standouts for fresh storytelling and beautiful animation. However, these glowing rays are usually tinged with minor disappointment for some people because not so few hyper releases measured up to expectations. This season, no matter how mixed they will be, will still spell some memorable moments in proving why anime still holds the status of the most loved and dynamic media form.

Dungeon Meshi

My review: I find it rather entertaining due to its unique combination of fantasy and food. The excitement of dungeon exploration and culinary arts has been rather creatively and enjoyably combined in the show. The characters, with their interaction of cooking with the monsters they come across, add a humorous and imaginative touch to the story. It is quite different from all other fantasy anime due to its amazing blend of humor, adventure, and food creativity.

Yubisaki to Renren

My review: The good reason to watch this anime is its moving and inclusive representation of a relationship that involves someone with a disability. The anime masterfully creates the emotional nuances between a couple where one of them has hearing loss. It reflects a touching portrayal of how love transcends material boundaries and emphasizes the value of interpretation and dialogue. It is indeed a very bright and touching anime with its special point of view.

Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu 2nd Season

My review: The nice and subtle touch of character development. The series depicts wonderful emotional development between Kyoutarou Ichikawa and Anna Yamada during their negotiations with personal issues and each other. Such sincere and poignant moments blended with cute romantic scenes touch fans who enjoy character-driven stories.

Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi

My review: A beautiful joining of love and hilarity set against the stunning winter scene of Hokkaido. This is what will leave fans of either genre satisfied with an endearing story punctuated by humor. Furthermore, the rest of the series gets added to by the odd quirky characters and the striking scenery that comprises it.

Kyuujitsu no Warumono-san

My review: This is the kind of show that charms the audience with joy and relaxation. It has all the heart and humor to make it a refreshing change from riveting action tales often broadcasted, good for those in the search for lighter, entertaining fare.
